A. I. Menkiti
KEYWORDS: Noise, Environment, Survey, Tape-replay techniques
ABSTRACT:Noise degrades the quality of our environment and is known to produce many adverse effects both on humans and structures. In this project, embarked upon to identify the significant sources of noise in our environment (among other aim-,). it is found that - by using measurement, survey and tape-replay techniques - traffic noise is found to be the most signil1cant source of noise. It is also found that it is the one that bothers people most, and that the degree of bother appears to be related to the energy content of the noise.
