Factors Influencing The Use of Internet Among Secondary School Teachers In Ile-Ife Central Local Government Area, Osun State, Nigeria

ABSTRACT:The study investigated the level of Internet use among secondary school teachers in Ile-Ife Central Local Government Area. The specific objective of the study was to determine the influence ofgender, marital status, age, type of school and teaching subject on Internet use of respondents. The findings of the study revealed that there was significant influence of gender, marital status and age on the use of Internet among respondents in the survey but no significant influence was found in terms of type of schools and subject areas on Internet use. It is recommended that more training progranames should be organized for secondary teachers to enable them acquire skills onhow to use the Internet.
